the installation guide says nothing about the dvd unit nor about the GPS antenna. it seems that there is non need to install them. is that right?

Hello, the DVD unit and the GPS antenna both need to be installed.The DVD unit should be placed in the glove box and We suggest putting the GPS antenna on the upper right corner of your dashboard.Thank you.
